If you think your personal or institutional profile fits into one of the following categories, please send us your submission:
1. short bio (max 200 words)
2. Degree(s) abbreviation(s) and country
3. Two pictures (one to be used “squared” and the other landscape) - check here for examples
4. Links to your social media (optional) - e.g. twitter, linkedIn, research gate, blog…
5. IDRA ToR signed

Affiliate

Entry requirements:
1. An individual with at least two peer-reviewed drowning related publications (indexed in JCR or Scopus) in the last 10 years
2. At least three presentations at international conferences (or similar events) in the last five years
3. Demonstrate a commitment to IDRA’s vision, mission, and ethical principles by agreeing to the conditions of membership.
4. Submit a motivational text outlining why you should be admitted as an affiliate member and how your expertise will contribute to IDRA.

No membership fee applies.

Benefits of membership:
• Your short biography (max. 200 words) plus photo will be published on IDRA´s website and if you wish, your contact details and links to social media, ResearchGate etc.
• Be part of the largest global drowning researchers’ alliance, with access to mentoring and advice from world-renowned experts on your own research projects
• Ability to use “IDRA Affiliate Member” title in your CV
• Standing invitation to join IDRA’s private research meetings
• Collaboration opportunities (by invitation) with IDRA as a co-investigator/author and the ability to lead a specific project or taskforce
• Ability to be contacted by IDRA to offer your professional services/expertise to fee-paying organizations and companies.

Collaborator

Entry requirements:
1. An individual interested in drowning research
2. Demonstrate a commitment to IDRA’s vision, mission and ethical principles by signing the agreeing to the conditions of membership.
3. Submit a motivational text outlining why you should be admitted as a collaborator member and how your expertise will contribute to IDRA.

No membership fee applies.

Benefits of membership:
• Name, country, and main affiliation will be published on IDRA’s website
• Be part of the largest global drowning researchers’ alliance, with access to mentoring and advice from world-renowned experts on your own research projects
• Ability to use “IDRA Collaborator Member” title in your CV
• Collaboration opportunities (by invitation) with IDRA research projects or assisting in other activities.
• Ability to be promoted to affiliate member once criteria (above) are met.
• Mentorship for students and those new to drowning research.

Institutional

Entry requirements:
1. Any academic, teaching, lifesaving, or commercial institution which may be interested in drowning research or drowning prevention
2. Demonstrate a commitment to IDRA’s vision, mission, and ethical principles by signing a memorandum of understanding.

The following annual membership fees apply:
• Governmental agency – 500 EUR
• Non-profit organization – 250 EUR
• Commercial entities/corporations – 1,000 EUR.

Benefits of membership:
• Partner with the largest global drowning researchers’ alliance and network of subject-matter experts
• Access mentoring, advice, and other specialist services from world-renowned experts with your own research projects and business activities (Note: Additional fees for service may apply depending on the project/request)
• Ability to use the IDRA logo on your website, social media channels and events (Note: conditions apply)
• Your logo will be posted on the IDRA website.

Note:
1. A reduction in membership fees may be granted on request. IDRA will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case by basis.
2. Services provided on a fee-paying basis will require both parties to sign a contract for services that may specific addition requirements or clauses.

Do you or your organisation need additional services from IDRA?

If an individual, group, or institution needs support or a substantial research output from IDRA (see below), please contact us with an outline of your requirements and we will provide you with a competitive quote.

• Assistance with preparation and review of new drowning prevention campaigns/ publicity opportunities
• Advice on initial set-up of water-rescue/lifeguard services, emergency medical services and hospital-interface, and review of existing local, regional or national systems
• Assistance with preparation of annual drowning reports
• Provision of subject-matter experts for case reports, official, and private investigations
• Expert witness service
• Assistance with the research ethics approval process
• Evaluation of online learning courses.
• Build requested tools and games for drowning prevention, rescue and mitigations

Note:
1. Fees for service will be determined on a case-by-case and subject to availability of an appropriate IDRA member or project team.
2. Please provide a detailed explanation of how IDRA could help/support you and if you see any return to IDRA this may result in a discount being applied.

All fees, sponsorship or donations received will be reinvested supporting the research activities of IDRA and its members.
