Jeroen Seesink, MD, MSc, The Netherlands

Jeroen Seesink, MD, MSc, is a Dutch doctor who currently specializes as anesthesiologist at the Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam and Rotterdam-Rijnmond Ambulance Service, with special attention for (prehospital) trauma and emergency critical care. He has spent many years on the theme of drowning as lifeboat crew member of the Royal Dutch Sea Rescue Organization and has more than 20 years of experience as (senior) beach lifeguard and instructor. Doctor Seesink uses this experience for scientific drowning research and is also active for various organizations, such as the advisory board of the Dutch Lifeguarding Association, surfing medicine international and the Royal Dutch Sea Rescue Organization.
