Steve Waterman is the Founding Director of Waterman Training Solutions, a Veteran-owned aquatic safety and emergency response training provider based in Western Australia. He brings 18+ years of experience across Aquatics, Australian Army (Infantry/Medic), and Security Operations.

Steve developed and delivered the Kimberley River Safety Program, equipping children in remote communities with the skills to safely swim and perform basic rescues in inland waterways. His work has been recognised through multiple Bravery and Lifesaving decorations.

His training philosophy, “The Waterman Way,” centres on mindset-based preparedness and genuine competency over the appearance of safety — a prevention-first approach forged through direct field and operational experience.
