David S. Warner, MD – USA
Dr. Warner is Professor of Anesthesiology, Neurobiology, and Surgery at Duke University. In addition to being a practicing neuroanesthesiologist, Dr. Warner directs a laboratory, which studies mechanisms of injury and therapeutic interventions for ischemic/anoxic brain insults. Dr. Warner also serves in leadership roles on various scholarly journals dedicated to study of acute brain and spinal cord injury. He has led numerous consensus teams formed to assess currently available medical/physiologic knowledge, define guidelines for optimal medical care, and areas of needed research for management of drowning-induced brain injury.
