A graphical abstract is a single, concise, visual summary of the main findings of a research project. This could either be summary slide of the project or a figure that has beenis specially designed to convey the main findings of the project for readers at a single glance.
A graphical abstract should allow readers to quickly gain an understanding of the main take-home message of the project and is intended to encourage information sharing, promote interdisciplinary scholarship, and help readers identify more quickly which studies are most relevant to their research interests.
